When a single pole switch is ON /OFF, it is on the hot. Does this switch ever disconnect the equipment grounding conductor?

switches normally disconnect the phase (hot) conductors. On occasion they may disconnect the phase and grounded conductors. They should not disconnect the equipment grounding conductor.
