I recently posted a rather large message, hopefully you will not have to experience this large a post from me again anytime soon. But in posting I was notified that the message was too large to post, any particular reasons for a size limitations, beside no one wanting to read that much and I thought possible SPAMMERS?

I have run into this problem a few times myself. I think it is a way for the forum brain to say we are too long winded and need to find a shorter way to get our point across.

Some things just can't can't be explained in a paragraph or two. Hence the 800 page NEC!

800's nothing. Imagine how thick the NEC would be if it actually tried to explain anything. :)

5000K !! Maybe thats it! Well shoot I did about the same thing, almost!
I try'n to post a few comments and was three times higher than that. I just saved as.

What I did not do was:...

Maybe one should send a quick note to the webmaster or moderator and a copy of the post, by alerting someone we'd all gain access to a complete thought!

This is quite a helpfull crowd. I'm sure we can all follow directions, maybe... I know they can edit and move, surely it would be a POC. :>

Surely Brian, you should "GO" on the Writing/Lecture Tour, all those mag's and people, would love to read or hear those stories of a electrican and a tester and both in the same story.

Is this limit really all that limiting?

There's a lot to be said for brevity. ;)

I think I bumped into that size limit at least once in the past. What I did was made my post into a .PDF and used the "manage attachments" to upload the PDF.
