Hey all, I am pretty new to this forum thing so I thought I would give it a try. I am in the industrial maintenance field and we are constantly hooking up new machinery. I have been in this type of field for @ 10 or more years and I am currently working towards getting my Journeyman's license. My supervisor has always sized disconnects according to the amp rating on the machine name plate. ie: 25amp he'll use a 30 amp disc.
Is this correct or do we take in consideration the overcurrent protection factor?
125%
I have a machine here that we need to hook up, here are the specs if someone could give me insight on this.
208V Largest load 15A Full load amp 25
Another machine is 208V @ 9KVA. Just curious what size disc., fuses, and wire.
Thanks, John
