Hypothetical:
single phase 230 v motor. 2 hp 12a FLC
Circuit
conductor size x 1.25% = 15a = 14awg
short circuit and ground fault FLC x 250% = 30a
If I want to bring a feeder over for two and tap, what size feeder?
I remember 1.25% of largest plus the other. That would be a 12 x 1.25= 15a + 12a = 27a
I'm thinking a 40a feeder.
Where does this leave this feeder breaker at start up if they start at the same time.. ?
