I have to feed a 120/208V 3 phase, 200 amp MCB, panel for parking lot lights. Its being fed from a main panel 500' away. What size conductors would I use.

The first thing you need to know is the load that you will have, ie how many lights and what is the amp of each light. Then I would use a voltage drop calculation to determine what size I need.

Is 277/480 volts available?

There is not 277/480. I wish there was. According to my calculation, I need a 400 MCM.

Start with the real load calculation for the lights. It may be less than the 200 Amps for which the panel is rated. Maybe you can get by with less than 400 MCM.dtslandreth said:
