Engineers all spec now green wire for emt runs.
I like it. Supposed to be new cal code

I'm on sn architecturly significant remodel and the whole place. Is done in conduit.

Some runs have #14 cts w #12 cts
No engineer
No need for a green wire.

If I'm going to run a green for redundant eq bonding
Does it have to be #12 or nothing?

I would like to use up some #14 partial roll of solid but don't want to just have to pull them out

Is there a 250 section that applies ?
thanks!

In belief, man can do anything

A single wire EGC must be sized per the largest OCPD.

250.122(C) Multiple Circuits. Where a single equipment grounding
conductor is run with multiple circuits in the same
raceway, cable, or cable tray, it shall be sized for the largest
overcurrent device protecting conductors in the raceway,
cable, or cable tray. Equipment grounding conductors installed
in cable trays shall meet the minimum requirements
of 392.10(B)(1)(c).

Indeed as Jumper has stated. The fact you are calling it a "redundant" EGC is irrelevant. It is still a EGC and has to be sized accordingly.

I can't think of any cases where it could be smaller than #12

250.122
