Sizing residential sub-panel feeders.

When sizing feeders and sub-panels in a residence (large residence with 400A or larger service), do you use 215.2, or can you use 220 Part III or IV?

To expand on that, the load referred to in 215.2 is the load as calculated per Article 220. Part IV would only apply to a feeder that is serving the "total connected load" of the residence. So a feeder to a subpanel carrying only part of the connected load would need to go by Part III.
