Welcome to the forum.

To carry the maximum calculated neutral load current, or the same size as the required EGC.
I will have 4 sets of 600 mcm copper 3-phase going from the generator and according to table 250.102 adding all the conductors together is over the 1750 awg so then i have to take 12 and 1/2 percent of 2400 since there is 4 sets correct? so would the minumum be 300 awg?

If the generator has OCP and yu are dealing with a non-SDS system the equipment grounding conductor would be selected from 250.122

I understand, and I may be off track, but I don't think 250.102 is applicable. It's a feeder so the grounded conductr would be size by calculated load but no smaller than the 250.122 EGC.

I am sizing the grounded conductor not the grounding conductor.
Does the generator have an OCPD? If so, then the minimum size of the grounded conductor will be based on table 250.122 per 215.2(B)
If there is no OCPD at the generator, then the minimum size will be per table 250.102(C)(1). Assuming you have four raceways, you would need a 1/0 in each raceway.
