Ran across the job today and have a question about an installation would it be permissible to run SJ cord in a sleeve of EMT in a wall a metal frame wall and two
Can I run a piece of BX cable into a 1900 box and splice two laundry drops and leave them hanging for a rescesed showcase to be plugged in. The problem is there's no room inside the Showcase to mount the Box or make any type of spice to plug in the provided plugs. So I'm trying to figure out a way to wire the Showcase first and then mount it in place and still be able to remove it I guess sort of like a dishwasher in a sense

The code just does not allow SJ cord in a wall. You could certainly run MC though.

If by BX you mean MC, and by laundry drop you mean the boxes that are recessed into the wall so you can plug stuff in behind something against a wall, I don't see any reason you can't do what you are proposing.

These are laundry drops accept female not male can I run a piece of mc to a 1900 box splice two of these and leave them hanging with a blank plate

Are you suggesting wiring male plug cordsets that will be hot when they're disconnected?
That would be very likely to cause shocks, arc flashes and/or nuisance circuit-breaker trips.

is this the kind of receptacle you want to install? if so I don't see a problem with it. I don't know why you would want to blank it off though. I don't see any reason you could not connect to the box with MC.
