skm arc flash calculation

I ran an arc flash study from SKM, electrical system has a MCC with a main 800A fuse. The incident energy is the same on the main fuse as the rest of the MCC. So, im assuming if I had a fault on the MCC bus that the main fuse wouldnt open. Is this assumption correct

That is an incorrect assumption.
What it means is that whether the fuse opens or not the upstream current limiting and protection will still limit the incident energy to the same value.

Or depending on the SKM settings, I think it could also mean that you are looking at the incident energy on the load side of the main fuse in both the main compartment and the other MCC sections.

It would be better if you can show the oneline and what buses you faulted...
