Sloped recess cans

I have some sloped cans that extend beyond the sheetrock. Unable to adjust any higher due to roof decking. Am thinking of cutting the excess flush to ceiling.

No, no, no and if you didn't get that, no. Use the proper product for the job. If they don't fit, get a smaller can or add a layer of sheet rock.
