I'm using 2 Halo sloped recessed fixtures with 75 watt PAR-38 bulbs in a vaulted ceiling over a shower in a master bath. The fixtures indicate that they're suitable for use in damp locations. I don't believe they make shower trims for these fixtures. Also, I've used these in the past where the ceiling vaulted from 8' to approximately 16' and have had no problem with a code violation. In this case the fixtures will probably be installed at around 7'. Can anyone see a problem before I get too far along in this project ? Thanks in advance.

If the fixture is listed for damp location, and the lamp installed is an indoor-outdoor type, you will probably be okay. I would also use a gaskets at the lampholder. If still in doubt, consult you AHJ.

Re: Sloped recessed fixtures in a shower

We usa a progress open bulb recessed trim that uses a rubberized bulb, you should have seen the AHJ`s face when he first saw them. But the paper work confirmed the UL listing of this bulb.Next was the trim ring they have a gasket that makes then shower trim rated trims. But an eyeball trim none I have seen that are shower rated. If you find some let me know ,I`d get a P.O. in a heart beat for them....
