Does anyone know if a range hood is supplemental equipment for a gas-fired range? I ask because the ahj said I couldnt use power from the small appliance branch circuit that supplies the gas stove, becuase the only thing that can be on that circuit is a wall clock recept, what about 210-52(b)(2)exception#2?

Re: Small appliance branch circuit

The range hood is not considered supplemental equipment with respect to the small appliance circuit for the gas cook top. However, I believe you can install a receptacle for the cook top spark ignitor and integral clock off the small appliance circuit as per 210.52(B)(2)X-1
