I recommend checking the web sites of the various shows.
Any hot spokes models will likely be prominently displayed there.

I don't have anything to add but I'm replying so that I get the up-date on this thread too. I've had an interest in this area of the trade for a while, I'm just too chicken to experiment with my own cash.
