Hmm..
Hmm..
The power factor of an induction motor should not be corrected to unity by installing capacitors, because it might damage the motor windings due to over voltage.
But this smart power saver boasts of correcting the induction motor power factor to unity......
I seriously doubt that. How was this value determined? Does he have a year's worth of electric bills before installing the device, and another year's worth afterwards? Did the electric company, in fact, charge him less money per month for the same month of the year, after the device was installed? Were there any other changes in the restaurant anywhere close to the same time frame, something that might have accounted for a drop in energy usage, something like replacement of an inefficient cooking appliance or simply a drop in the number of customers? If you dig deeper into the story, I strongly suspect that you will find that he is not getting any savings in his electric bill that can be attributed to this device. My son put one in one of his restaurants and seem a drop of 19% on energy used.

NASA tested? That's what the link says. If that is so, where are the results??
Why are you asking me? I just posted a link for informational purposes. I am not endorsing this BS.
I wasn't asking anyone specifically. I know you didn't post the link as an endorsement. Sorry if it seemed otherwise. I was just commenting on the content of the ad.
What is is with plumbers, anyway? Not only do they make more money than electricians, they don't have to put up with scammers trying to sell their customers water tanks by telling them that they will save water.
