Smoke detector in storage

Does anyone has inspector request to put smoke detector in the storage even the storage is sprinkled? Let me know if this is some kinds of code items. Thank!

Commercial buildings, either class B or I occupancy type.

Fully sprinkler system. Does it matter what type of storage?

Does it matter what type of storage?

If the nature of storage changed from the initial design for which the sprinkler system was provided such that the present fire load may become too excessive to be handled by the sprinkler,fire alarm may help in such cases in alerting the Municipal Fire Authority early.
