Smoke detector wiring daisy or t-tap

I've always daisy chained my 120v smokes. I have a scenario where t-tapping the devices will be in my benefit.
Im assuming they will communicate the same and there shouldnt be an issue.
Just want to hear it form someone who has done it before.

Resi smokes aren't like commercial FA systems. Just hook all the reds, whites and blacks together. Daisy chain, t-tap, spider web, octopus.... as long as they're all tied together somehow.

I agree with Ken- I usually feed the first smoke then daisy chain with 3 wire cable to the others.

Well, actually.......... no.

Because if that's all you do... there's no power to any of them.
