What is the code for smoke detectors in sky lights? How far from the top does it have to be? Is it 12" center? And is from the top of the bubble of the sky light or the framing before the sky light is installed?

look in NFPA 72, though I cannot think of any sky light needing a smokie...unless...is this an automatic vent hatch?
