One floor of my office building was previously used as an IT Equipment Room by the previous owner. The Air Conditioning Units which circulated cold air under the raised floor have been removed. This space is no longer used for enviormental air. The existing smoke detector panel for the detectors under the raised floor has also been removed. Am I correct that there is no longer a requirement for the smoke detectors.

Re: Smoke Detectors Under a Raised Floor

If there is wiring or any other combustible material under the raised floor then the smoke detectors would still be required.
