It is a stupid idea and I like this statement
Manufactured using UL rated materials

UL rated materials, talk about deceiving lay people.

Might be good for short term if it's all you have at the moment. Much better to replace the receptacle. I don't think I'd buy these things though.

Seems like a good fire starter.

The UL rated product line is pretty creative. I wonder if UL is aware of this.

Can't recall how many times while inspecting for a NRTL label on equipment I heard "the cabinet (enclosure) is U.L." or "all the components are U.L."; "Isn't that good enough ?"

Uh, isn't the usual fix for a loose outlet to squeeze or spread the prongs on the plug so it fits tighter?? Costs less than $20.99!
