Thanks, I was just about to ask the same thing. NEC 400.8 says USES NOT PERMITTED: "Where installed in raceways, except as otherwise permitted in this CODE" Does anyone know which sections permit this?

No, SO cord cannot be run in conduit.

Does anyone know which sections permit this?

See 400.7. I might ask why you would want to run SO cord in conduit in the first place? :confused:

Here, someone wanted to use a length of conduit to lower pendant HID fixtures (beteen the hook and fixture) and wanted to run the SO through the conduit. As far as I am concerned, NEC 410-30 (c) says you can't, even though 400-7 lists pendants.
