I have several fluorescent light fixtures to wire on a paint booth. All the fixtures are on the outside of the paint booth. In order the change lamps in the fixtures, the fixtures must be removed from the housing on the paint booth. The fixtures did not come with whips. My question is can I wire them with SO cord and a plug? Sect 410.62(c) states the fixture must be directly below the outlet.
The second part my question refers to amperage of the cord. Sect 240.5 refers to protection of flexible cord. But the way I read it, is the cord must be already part of a piece of listed appliance or luminaire.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
