Are branch conductors to a soft starter sized based on the motor size per 430.22? Or by the RVSS input current rating (similar to VFDs in 430.122)?
We have an application with an oversized RVSS (relative to the motor size). I assume the conductors are all sized based on the motor, and have not found anything in the NEC to state otherwise, but am double checking. (2020 code). I do not believe a RVSS would be considered 'power conversion equipment'?
