I'm planning to install solar panels on my roof (8 panels, 240V, 1600W total). I will be using enphase m190 micro inverters.

I have excellent attic access and I can run the AC wires from the panels through my attic all the way back my disconnect switch that will be located next main service panel (including the wall where the exterior service panel is mounted).

Can I use NM (romex) wire (12/3) to run from the junction box of the panels to the disconnect switch located next to my main service panel?

Additionally, can I run my continuous #6 bare GEC conductor (that connects the rails and inverters) through the attic and wall to the disconnect switch, or does it need to be in conduit?

I'd like some opinions before I talk to the AHJ.

Thanks.
