Please see attached sketch. I have building A and separate building B both 60 feet from each other. Building A is fed by utility service A, utility meter A and Building B fed by utility service B, utility meter B.

Building A roof has all solar panels part of which are for Building A and other part for Building B.

Building B has solar edge inverter outside Building B as shown attached sketch. Underground EMT DC cables with insulated EGC go to non fused disconnect box outside at Building A. There are three non fuse disconnect boxes outside building A all grouped since there are three circuits running. The disconnects feed from combiner from solar panels top of roof on Building A.

Normally what comes to my mind is feeders feeding separate building place grounding electrode, one feeder go to the building with panelboard NEC 2014 Section 250.32, 225.

However now since its solar it’s complicated and I don’t know is the above mentioned also shown attached sketch not in compliance with any code or I need follow 225, 250.32 or some other code?

hmm, yes, grounding is a bit of a sticky issue here.

I would say that 690.47 probably requires the 'Solar B' array to have equipment grounding run to the grounding electrode system for building A, but this should not be done if it creates a parallel path for neutral current on the services.

You're still on the 2014 code? Not the 2017 yet? Important changes to PV grounding electrode requirements in each cycle, it makes a difference.

It's really a 690 issue, not a 225 or 250 issue.
It is in no way a violation of 225. See 225.30 A(5) and 225.30(E).
