what are three things that determine voltage in a solar system?
Nope you only got 1 out of 3 right. I suspect you are trying to be a solar installer working on a LV license?amount of solar cells, amount of solar radiation, and size of conductors? could this be correct?
And how is it that "solar radiation" (i.e., how much sunlight you get, and how bright it is) not an influence on the voltage produced by a solar cell?Nope you only got 1 out of 3 right.

Solar panels are current sources, not voltage, and current is proportional to the amount of light. Second clue is temperature. Charles look at any IR curve and you will see what I am saying. Look for Voc, Vmp, Imp, Isc, and Temperature Coefficient. Hint Voc is what you want to know, and Voc is only affected by three things, Voc rating of a single panel, how many panels in series, and temp. Amount of sun light has nothing to do with it. When open circuit a flashlight will develop Voc.And how is it that "solar radiation" (i.e., how much sunlight you get, and how bright it is) not an influence on the voltage produced by a solar cell?
2 of 3 correct. Irradiance determines current, not voltage.I will go with the following
The number of cells in series
Irradiance
Temperature
