Yes - I am the one guy who voted stranded!

I worked with a guy who got a bunch of it, (12/2, 12/3 12/4, and yes 12/8!) I fell in love.... I have unfortunately not seen any since.... Ah sooo supple.....

I hate stranded MC, only used it a couple of times.

To me it is like trying to rough a building with wet spaghetti.

With solid I can 'push' the MC up over trusses, pipes etc., and as far as I am concerned I can terminate solid to devices faster and cleaner than with stranded.

The only place I have used it is for compliance with 410.28(E) and most times I would just use FMC and stranded conductors for this.

We have been using stranded #10 AWG MC cable for the last year or so. After using #10 stranded I hate going back to #10 solid. IMO anything larger than #12 should be stranded.

Honestly, I'm surprised at the lopsided results of my poll. We used stranded MC many years ago and it rocked. Then as the prices of copper started to skyrocket, the boss switched to solid to save a few cents. I've hated it ever since.
