Helps to makes your pump disconnects 50’ and within sight.
Someone told me it was code to have that? If so that means I can't run a 20A circuit from my inside house panel DIRECTLY to the pump and another circuit DIRECTLY to the GFI and gas heater? If I need an OCPD what could I use for a 20A circuit? No disconnects that size.

Is this pool in New Jersey? Are you working with an electrical contractor? Even if they're reluctant the local electrical inspector should be able to answer your questions.

If there is no inspector involved it is even more important that you have an electrical contractor involved, ideally someone with poo;l experience.
Since you are a valued member of the Forum we always try to answer your questions. That said, this looks more and more like a DIY project.
For your and your family's safety please retain the service of a qualified EC and don't depend on answers from this Forum as we can't see the overall picture and any advice mighty be detrimental
