I don't recall there being anything out of place behind the conductors. Click on the picture and look at the conductor about where the tape is on the third conductor in the back ground.

it would appear they cut two of them though.

i mentioned this to the guys doing the work on it, and they taped it up. they said they were using 65kv tape, whatever that is, covered by regular tape.

they taped up the middle conductor too, so they all look the same now.

And the kicker: The wires from the bottom of the meter socket go right over to the fuses, so the knife switch doesn't even disconnect them. You change the fuses when there's nothing between you and Hoover Dam.
