I wonder is the copper conductor securing the fitting or, is it bonding the fitting?;)

I thought everybody knew by now that you can't just put the ground under the cover. That's what the holes are for... out of one, around the screw, into the other, then splice... :grin:

Hey! That EMT connector set screw isn't being used for anything else. . . .isn't that one of the requirements for a ground screw? And I've got a ground wire in the romex, so, cool!

I could be all wet on this, but it seems to me that it is an EMT screw type coupling that is:

  • not secured to the box &
  • the screw is used for other than the designated purpose
Should the cable be secured at the point of entry?
Should the cable be protected from abrasion at the point of termination?
