I used some a couple of weeks ago. We were pulling some 4/0's about 125 feet. We soaped it up good, just like always. I didn't want to get the wires halfway along just to find out their claims were half-baked.

I bought some the other day couldn't install it cause it kept slipping out of my hands.

I haven't done any long pulls with it but it does seem very slick.

Did the lube help you get the job done half-fast?

Yes, it works well, I believe theres a press release on low tempertures pulls but that won't be a problem for a while....

Running it into PVC did you pull againest the bell end or with the bell end ? ?
MO, It seems to be a little more fragile skin (outer-liner) ...

I used it last month, it was not a hard pull, 3-250's in a 2 1/2 70' with 1 90 and 1 45, it pulled easier than the same setup with 3/0 and 2" without "simpull" both were pulled by hand horizontal 90% of the way. I still like soap. I like my hand blue like a smurf:)

Hey 480sparky
Thanks for those older posts. They answered a lot of my questions. I think it sounds like most feel the Simpull still needs soap. If anyone else has anything to offer on this stuff please do. I was kinda wishing Southwires claims were true. I have 23 conduits to pull all 500 kcmil. Thats a lot of soap and a lot of clean up and lot of time etc.. Thanks.

In my experiences the simpull worked very well without lube, but I have noticed that if you have a reel of it for several months or so it starts losing some of its slickness.
