Spa Shock Hazard Examples

Hello,

Does anyone know of any incidents of spas without GFCIs shocking people that I can give to a customer who was told by the store he bought spa from that he did not need a GFCI? Sometimes just stating the NEC is not enough especially when told otherwise.

I have never heard of an incident where a hot tub shocked anybody.... I am sure it happened but...

Just did a search and I saw 2 forum threads about a shock from a tub. A gfci will not necessarily stop a shock but it could keep you alive.
