Hi, thanks for helping. There are no circuit breakers openings available for SPD(s) (Ditek 120/240) for a heat pump and a hot tub. These 2 are on an 80amp circuit breaker from main panel connected to 2 x 240 circuit breaker subpanel of which the hot tub is a 50 amp GFCI and the heat pump a 50 amp breaker. Out of the options, where can I install SPD - in order of best Viable options - to protect both spa and hot tub?
1) on 80 a circuit breaker at main panel
2) on 50a GFCI breaker in the subpanel
3) on 50a heat pump breaker in the subpanel
4) directly on hot tub
5) directly on heat pump

Is this homework?

Haha, no. Just thought it was easiest way to present my actual options. Hopefully that means some of these options are viable. Thanks
Edit: *Usually I am able to place on an unused circuit breaker, but everything being utilized*

The Ditek instructions show the wiring in an HVAC disconnect being pigtailed for connection.

I've done that for HVAC disconnect without a breaker but duh on me, makes sense I can do that before the breaker too. *smack my head* Thanks again
