Here in MN we're about to jump into 2020 and I'm trying to plan on the best way to implement the new SPD requirements for dwelling services, 230.67. A lot of times we will only have a knife-blade fused disconnect for our service and an inverter. I'm not sure of the best way to install a SPD in this scenario. We also use Enphase's IQ combiner which will allow a plug on SPD if we have space. One thing I thought might work was to splice a Type 1 SPD on the load side of our disconnects since they are rated to be installed on the line side of OCP. Any other ideas?
