What is the make & model of your preferred spec. grade receptacle?

never gave much thought to model #. I just ask for it at supply house.

P&S or Hubble are the two that I have used the most in the past.

P&S has commercial spec. grade, hard use spec grade, extra hard use spec grade, industrial spec grade, and hospital grade.

I think thats the order from good to best, and affordable to most expensive. I don't always spec. the same one.

I question the validity of manufacturer's marketing terms. I have wondered for some time what the difference is between spec. grade and commercial grade, etc. Well, here's the answer...

It turns out there are really only four official standards:
1. general use
2. hospital
3. federal specifications (fed. spec.)
4. combination hospital/fed. spec.

I don't know if the standards are in this exact order. Perhaps someone with more knowledge can shed some light on this.
