Special Occupancies?

I've been asked to bid a job for a new press box in an existing midget league football stadium. The job consists of a new 150 amp entrance, 4 lights and 8 receps. I thought that this type of installation would fall under NEC 518 but reading through 518.2 I can't find any examples of this nature.

specifically, I'm wondering about the use of non-metallic sheathed cable and GFCI requirements if applicable to this installation.

Can anyone point me in the right direction in the NEC as to code rules governing this type of installation?

Re: Special Occupancies?

I would ask your local building official how the building is classified as per use and occupancy and type of construction. The Stadium will be an assembly occupancy (A-5) but the section you speak of could easily be justified as an accessory use area and therefore an "A" or a mixed occupancy and therefore a "B" or a non-seperated use building or other. Also look at type of construction and make sure its not type I or II, as these are non-combustible so NM would not be allowed. Come to think of it, it should say on your plan, on the first or second page, how the building was justified. Just make sure you go off the stamped and approved set from the city. Many times, as a plans examiner, I've changed the use and occupancy of a building from what the architect called it. Hope this helps. . .
