SPGFCI

Article 590.6(B)(2) discusses SPGFCI Special Purpose GFCI. What is the definition of SPGFCI - I don't see one in the NEC. Is it a GFCI receptacle dedicated to particular piece of equipment? Is it defined by the mA at which it trips? etc.
