Splice

Anyone heard of this typoe of splice before? What exactly is it? I know it's 5kv insulation.

I haven't heard the term "flat splice" before. I've used several 3M cold shrink splice kits before with MV cable. Maybe the "flat splice" means the type of ground shield??? Some are braid, some are a flat tape.
