Splices?

What's the rules on Low Voltage splices? Do they have to be in a box? Do they have to be accssible, etc?

It depends on whether or not it is a class 1,2 or 3 circuit.

Take a look at article 725, but remember that (as per 725.3), article 300 doesn't apply unless specifically referenced. In other words, look for references to 300.15

Depends on where it is too. Like they have nifty wire nuts for direct-burial low voltage stuff...
