We are pulling wire with a J box in middle of pull. The total length is around 350' with 600mcm. Is it ok to spice wire in j box? I wouldnt normally want to do the splice but its a 90 degree pull and pretty tough to pull enough wire out then re-feed other way. I figured we could pull wire from both directions and spice in J box.

Yes it is Ok. Based on how you worded the question you should not try to pull this in without a splice. It can be done but a lot can go wrong if you haven’t done something like this before.

Not practical to pull in both directions from the j-box with one continuous length of wire/cable?

It can be done if the pull box is long enough but certainly not worth the effort when splicing will take one man an hour or two. The pull through scenario will take multiple workers spitting blood to get the wire in without a splice and in the end you may end up with a big twist in the conductors as Larry stated.

350' with one 90 might go in without a splice.

If the box is deep enough, couldn't you come in the side towards the front, do a dipsy-doodle and exit the adjacent side towards the back? Any twist would be relieved (somewhat) because you're not making a pure 90* turn. I think that requires being able to remove more panels than just the front! :)

simPull. no lube.

put a large diameter sheave in the box, and make
a support frame out of unistrut. position the wheel
so the top of it aims right at both conduits.

you didn't say aluminum or copper. aluminum is
easy peazy, copper is a lot heavier.

if you have to splice, hypress, and 3m cold shrink.
making it up is fast.
