splicing aluminum into copper cable

Does anyone knows how to splice 2 runs of 600MCM aluminum into 2 runs of 600MCM copper cable and not violate the N.E.C.? Is ther

There are copper/aluminum butt splices that can be used.

Don, can you tell me who makes copper/aluminum butt splices and are they UL listed?
Aluminum is incoming in parallel and copper is outgoing in parallel.

It seems to me that the copper portion could be reduced in size.

As Bryan has suggested the copper could be smaller than the aluminum. 500kcmil aluminum and 350 kcmil copper have the same ampacity. This splice is listed for that combination.
