Working on an indoor project where the above ground branch circuit phase conductors need significantly upsized due to voltage drop from a long run length...

The equipment fed by said conductors can only accept a conductor that is several sizes smaller. Unfortunately a typical cable reducer lug cannot fit near the termination area within the equipment enclosure.

Any code issues with providing an in-line splice cable reducer outside of the equipment enclosure via a junction box +/-5' to 10' away?

Not that I see, seems perfectly acceptable. As long as your EGC is increased in size with the phase conductors proportionally in the part that is increased. you can reduce back down to your regular size conductor any place you would like.

As long as you do it the proper way via junction box like you are.
