Splicing solid and stranded wires

Hi, I want to join from solid wire to stranded. Assuming both 6g. I heard about two connectors from earlier threads. Which is up to the code?

1. Burndy YC4C6.
2. copper Nicopress sleeve

This is the description of option 1:

Run: 6 Sol. - 4 Str., Tap: 6 Sol. - 6 Str.

What does this mean?
