Splicing wires in an lb

Just recently took my unlimited exam and there was a question on there that threw me for a loop. It had a picture of an lb with 5 number eights running through it and it asked how many splices can be contained in the conduit body. The answer was two. I dont remember the cubic volume givin for the lb. If someone could help be out on how you would calculate the number of splices per wire allowed it would be apricated as I am retesting soon. Thanks.
 
With the limited information given I'm unsure how anyone could answer the question. Could there be something missing?

OP did say the cubic volume was given he just did not recall the number.

I took the total number of wires which is 5 multiplied by 3.00 and divided by the volume and the number was less than the volume of Lb I put 5 splices were allowed but that was not the answer. I know Im missing the volume as I cant remember I appoligize. but how in general other than what I did above how would you limit the amount of spices contained in any lb containing fixed number of wires and a given volume?
 
Since you don't recall the cubic in available, lets assume 22 cu in
If (3) of your #8s passed straight thru that would require 3 X 3 or 9 Cu in
If the other (2) were splice that would count as 4 conductors for a required 12 Cu In (4 x 3)
It would be permissible to make the splice with the 2 but an additional splice would exceed the available.

thanks for the help
just a weird question that I missed on the exam, given the fact that splicing a wire in an lb is not a common practice unless a pull went bad. or I was doing control work.
