I have a existing Medium voltage feeder 250 MCM, and protected by 100A fused. The feeder is spliced and sized down to 2/0. Is this installation Okay?

Is the piece of 2/0 a short piece (10-20 inches), that terminates at the OCPD? My guess is the 250 mcm was installed for voltage drop, the spliced piece of 2/0 was there because the lugs on the 100 amp fused disco weren't large enough for the 250 mcm. If this is the case, then yes it is code compliant.

Actually the 250 Kcmil run is about 200’ before it is spliced (via Load Break) to 2/O. As I mention on previous post it is protected by 100A Fuse.

The 2/0 CU is certainly good for more that 100 amps. I don't see a problem the way you describe it
