Split system, ductless A/C systems

This has been discussed previously but I can't seem to find an older thread to reference. The were various opinions , but I believe majority felt that a switch was needed to comply with 430.102.
 
Also 110.3(B) as the last few I have done require a switch inside per the instructions.

That's interesting as I have had a few installers argue that the manufacturer specifically does not want a switch. None have documented that thought. :D
