Refer to NFPA 33, 6.6 for spray booth lighting fixtures. If the fixture is to be accessible from inside the spray booth it must be listed for Class 1 Div 2 (liquid paint) or Class II Div 2 (for powder paint) as well as listed for acumulations of combustible deposit residues. It is usually more cost effective to install lighting fixtures that are behind glass panels and serviced from outside the booth since these are not required to be listed (the location is unclassified, as long as it is not within 3 feet of an opening into the booth).

What I have seen recently has been fixtures accessible from inside but each equipped with a switch to shut them down if someone opens the glass.

They pretty much looked like standard fixtures, just a gasketed glass keeping them 'outside'.
