iwire Moderator Staff member Location Massachusetts May 10, 2006 #2 It is widely used in this area to seal penetrations and many new homes are fully insulated with spray foam. I would not worry about it.

dlhoule Senior Member Location Michigan May 10, 2006 #3 I don't know if it is still on the market, but I can remember reading on a can of spray sealant used for fire stop; not to use on holes containing electrical wires. That was probably 8 to 10 years ago.
