what does the code or any code for that matter say as to fire sprinkler heads positioned over 4160 switchgear?

probably obvious answers, the situation is such that some sub contractors installed new switch gear under pre-existing sprinklers.

FYI: The IBC (building code) does not care if the sprinkler is located there. The above post also applies.

quick question that particular reference to the nec describes 600v or less nominal. this swithgear is for 4160v 3ph. is the requirment the same????

The '99 version of the NEC permits that installation, the '02 version does not permit that installation.
