I have a project calling for a SQ D NF panel. What is NF?

Obviously I don't use SQD.

It's a 20" wide panelboard rated 480/277 that normally uses a EDB breaker as I recall.

It is going in a building for manure separation and it looks like I have lots of options to consider. Makes it easy to bid when none are stated in the bid documents.

That is the style of panel we have installed in few big dairies out here. They're good panels, but they're expensive. Try and get your supply house to negotiate pricing when you price one or Sq D will really stick it to you.

Here's an example.

I had them price a 100 amp MB 18 space NF (EDB breaker style) 3R panelboard with one 3p 100A and three 3p 20A breakers. $4k+!!:rant: I'd just bought this same EXACT panel setup 2 years ago for $1800ish. When I told them that, they were able to get the price dropped down to within $100 bucks of the old price.
